April 16, 2014 – Chicago, Illinois Carey Smolensky, President of Mobile Music Interactive Entertainment, was requested to host and MC the International Special Events Society (ISES) and National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Chicago Excellence Awards; NICE 2014, at which special event industry professionals are awarded and recognized.
NICE 2014 took place on Monday, April 7th at the newly branded Hotel Chicago in downtown Chicago. The annual award ceremony is kindly referred to the Oscars of the Special Events Industry and is highly regarded and attended by professionals in the entertainment, production, catering, planning and all professions in the special events industry. The theme of the evening was “Travel is NICE” to reflect recent industry trends of destination special events.
The planning committee of the ceremony bestowed the honor of leading the special evening to Smolensky due to his unique MC skills and ability to flawlessly lead award ceremonies. Smolensky dynamically engaged the crowd and smoothly executed the awards agenda. He greeted presenters with warm anecdotes, and congratulated award winners. In between awards he entertained the crowd and kept the flow of the evening moving at a perfect pace.
Having the right MC at any special event, whether it be an awards ceremony, corporate event, a wedding, a bar or bat mitzvah, a charity function, or any special event, is essential to the success of the event. An MC is responsible for so much more than making announcements and following an agenda. This special entertainer adds the energy and brings life to an event, and, in a party setting, can be the difference between a packed dance floor or seated sad-faced guests. At any special event, it is essential to have the right professional entertainment.
Everyone at Mobile Music Interactive Entertainment is so honored and proud that ISES, NACE and special events industry professionals recognize the talents and skills of our President Carey Smolensky.
